HISTORY
Explained by Founder Axel Lehmkuhl
"Les Bâtons started in 2018 when I broke my aluminum poles. Initially, I looked into carbon but could not get used to the wobbly feeling, so I decided to make a durable, convenient, sustainable, and above all, fun to use pair, considering alternative materials as well as the design ideas I had harvested over the years.
It took 2 years of development and many prototypes to find the optimal design: the use of bamboo was glaring due to its excellent mechanical properties, light-weight, and warm touch, but addressing the grips and tips proved difficult. It was during testing that we noticed an increasing interest in our poles, among skiers and hikers. And that is how Les Bâtons was born: a humble initiative to make our poles, hand-made by myself in our basement in Corsier-sur-Vevey (Switzerland), available for everyone to have fun"

Founder - Heart & soul of Les Bâtons
Responsible for the development, artisanal production, and distribution of Les Bâtons. Avid mountaineer and passionate skier, you may easily find him in the Swiss Alps, ski touring in winter, mountain biking, trekking, or paragliding.
Lourdes Monso (ESP)
Co-founder - Accomplice and engine of Les Bâtons
Responsible for all Communications activities as well as for assisting Axel in the development and production of Les Bâtons. Adrenaline-seeker, you will likely find her in the mountains with Axel.

The order will be confirmed upon your invoice approval.
Payment
We accept cash, bank, and TWINT transfers.
The payment should be executed by delivery at the latest.
Delivery
Pick-up location to be agreed with you.
Shipment guaranteed 2 weeks from order confirmation*.
Freight costs (if necessary) will be charged separately.
*Unless prevented on the grounds of force majeure/holiday seasons, in which case we will inform you accordingly).
Warranty
One year product warranty.
Lifetime crash replacement warranty (where damaged parts will be replaced at cost plus labor price).

Cancellations
We will start producing your poles right after order confirmation, making it impossible for us to accept cancellations past this time.
Returns & Refund
Les Bâtons are tailor-made to your complexion and built as per the specifications agreed with you. Hence, returns and refunds won't be possible after delivery. In case of a defect, repairs/replacements will be taken charge of by our warranty program.
